About Our Tutors

Our personal trainer tutors have been specially chosen because they are highly qualified, experienced and have an unrelenting passion for fitness.

Our tutors realise that all learners study differently so each one can accommodate for the different learning styles that students have. They give motivational support throughout the course tailored to each specific learner. This allows each one to achieve at their pace with the right amount of support and encouragement.

My Training Centre tutors have vast experience within the fitness industry and have either been personal trainers or gym instructors so sharing of experience is common. They give interesting, varied lessons that inspire learners to be excellent personal trainers when they have passed all qualifications.

Tutors keep their qualifications up to date with Continued Professional Development (CPD) courses so they can provide the most recent knowledge and deliver best practice. All tutors are fully competent of the syllabus alongside the governing bodies requirements ensuring all learners are taught to the highest standards.

Lou Court

National Training Manager

Lou has been in the fitness industry for 17 years. She started her career with her own personal trainer business, she has also work on a cruise ship and work abroad. To expand her horizons yet stay in the fitness industry she began working in the educational sector.  She has over 7 years experience of internal verification, quality assurance, teaching and assessing. Lou has competed in bodybuilding, she has run three marathons and  currently plays club-level hockey. She now works as the national training manager supporting the tutors and students across the UK.

Holly Bayliss


Holly is the owner of Alchemy fitness Ltd, a personal training company based in Southampton. Before setting up the personal training studio 5 years ago, Holly worked in a prestigious health club for 3 years and built up a loyal clientele which enabled her to set up her own company. She is able to draw on her own experiences, both as an employed and self-employed personal trainer to help guide learners during and after they complete their level 3 course. Holly is a passionate and enthusiastic tutor who will guide you on your personal training journey.

Stewart Smith


Stewart Smith has been in the fitness Industry for 9 years since leaving the military, serving 5 years with the Royal Marines Commandos. He has worked in roles as a fitness instructor, studio instructor, personal trainer and PT manager as well as running his own PT Business.
Tutoring and assessing at levels 2, 3 and 4 since 2010 and also delivered the majority of the CPD courses.
His experience and expertise lie in the Level 3 bracket and he feels it is extremely important not just to tutor students to pass the course, but to make them industry-ready and enable them to be successful.

Karla Donaldson


Karla is a tutor and assessor with both personal and professional experience to share with students how empowering and life changing health and fitness can be. As a Commonwealth Swimmer, she continually pushed her boundaries and now inspires students to do the same. After retiring from swimming in 2002, she took up a career in health and fitness. Working in both private and public sectors, from operational positions, such a gym instructor, Exercise Referral Instructor and group fitness instructor, through to management, with a plethora of qualifications along the way.

Working as a Tutor is where she truly feels at home. Gaining a wealth of experience, both assessing and tutoring for major training companies across the country for the last three years, she feels able to impart invaluable knowledge with her students to help them find the magic in the industry that makes it one of the most rewarding to be part of.
